Recently, the “Yu Mao Global – Chongqing Export Products (Indonesia) Exhibition” successfully concluded at the Jakarta International Expo Center in Indonesia.

According to reports, Chongqing is leveraging the “Yu Trade Global” brand exhibition to drive the “Hundred Delegations, Thousand Enterprises” initiative, with the government providing a platform to help more foreign-trade enterprises take proactive steps and actively engage in international competition.
At the opening ceremony of this event, H.E. Shi Ziming, Minister-Counselor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Indonesia; Mrs. Merrijantij Punguan Pintaria, Director-General of the Directorate of Forest Products Industry under the Indonesian Ministry of Industry; Mr. Guo Kuilong, Secretary-General of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products; Mr. Liu Tao, General Manager of China Chemical Information Center Co., Ltd.; Mrs. Liana Bratasida Peraga, Chairperson of the Indonesian Pulp and Paper Association; and Mr. Achmad Riandhie, Secretary-General of the Indonesian Electrical Equipment Manufacturers Association, were in attendance and delivered remarks.

The Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, the Chongqing Council for the Promotion of International Trade, relevant Chinese professional associations in Indonesia, heads of Chinese enterprises, and leaders of Indonesian professional associations attended the opening ceremony and toured the exhibition booths of Chongqing-based companies to learn about their participation and product offerings.

This “Yu Trade Global – Chongqing Export Products (Indonesia) Exhibition” is designed to “go global” by showcasing Chongqing’s flagship industries and products in overseas markets, enhancing the brand recognition and influence of “Yu Trade Global,” and further elevating the level of economic and trade cooperation between Chongqing and Indonesia.
During the exhibition, enterprises from both sides actively engaged in business matchmaking, with Chongqing-based companies being matched at a ratio of 1:4 with invited foreign firms. The projected value of intended trade agreements is US$18 million, and more than 20 prospective clients have been identified.

This year’s Chongqing delegation includes companies spanning multiple sectors, including mechanical equipment, automotive steering systems, precision instruments, electronic products, circuit integration, and internet technology.
Notably, Chongqing Daotong Power Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. has previously entered the Indonesian market and is now aiming to further expand its market footprint; Chongqing Landai Transmission Machinery Co., Ltd., meanwhile, took this opportunity to visit prospective customers. The remaining exhibiting companies are all making their debut at the Indonesia show, which underscores the significant importance of this event for tapping into the Indonesian market.
On the day of the event, booths featuring Chongqing-based enterprises drew large crowds of Indonesian visitors who stopped to browse and engage in business discussions. Several participating companies established initial contacts with prospective Indonesian clients and arranged on-site visits to Chongqing for further negotiations.
“With the support of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce and industry associations, we conducted thorough research on Indonesia’s machinery and equipment sector, which has given us full confidence in expanding into the Indonesian market. At the show, many Indonesian peers expressed strong interest in our products, and we have already identified several potential customers. Overall, this exhibition has been extremely rewarding,” said Manager Xiang Chao of Chongqing Landai Transmission Machinery Co., Ltd.
During the exhibition, the China (Chongqing)-Indonesia Economic and Trade Matchmaking Conference was also held, attracting nearly 100 enterprises from both Chongqing and Indonesia, including 83 Indonesian firms, with over 100 attendees.
A. Meda Dana Tangkas, Chairman of the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association, attended and delivered a speech, expressing his hope that the two sides will strengthen cooperation in electromechanical products such as automotive parts and agricultural machinery.
Haris, former Secretary-General of Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry, highly commended the “Chongqing Global Trade Fair: Chongqing Export Products (Indonesia) Exhibition and Business Matching Event,” stating that the event fully demonstrates Chongqing Municipality’s strong commitment to the Indonesian market and expressing his hope that greater support will be provided in the future to further boost economic and trade exchanges between Chongqing and Indonesia.
At the event, the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, Chongqing Landai Transmission Machinery Co., Ltd., and Chongqing Longrun Automotive Steering Gear Co., Ltd. each delivered specialized presentations.
A relevant official from the Foreign Trade Promotion Division of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce stated that Indonesia is an important trade market for Chongqing and expressed the hope that this event will enhance mutual understanding and build greater trust between enterprises on both sides, thereby further elevating the level of economic and trade cooperation between Chongqing and Indonesia as well as the broader ASEAN region.
