As we all know, "steering" is to change the driving direction of the car. When steering, the steering system is working. The so-called steering system refers to the device that changes the forward direction by rotating the steering wheel. It is composed of steering wheel, steering shaft, steering gearbox and tie rod.
As shown in the figure below, can you see the position of the steering wheel in the cab? The shaft connected in front of it is the steering shaft.
The small box connected in front of the steering shaft is the steering gear box. The rotation of the steering wheel is transmitted to the steering gearbox through the steering shaft.
A gear set is installed in the steering gear box. After turning the steering wheel, the driving direction of the car is adjusted through the gear set.
